It’s back! Golf Channel and Good Good team up for return of fan favorite TV show

The Big Break is finally getting the comeback it deserves! And we couldn’t be more excited…
One of the golf’s most popular shows is set to return to our screens in 2026. And no, we’re not talking about Shell’s Wonderful World of Golf. Thanks to the good people at Good Good Golf, The Big Break is set for an overdue comeback next August.
The original series of the much-loved golf reality show pitted aspiring pros against each other over a series of memorable challenges until they were whittled down to one champion. And to the victor went the spoils of various tour exemptions that changed from season to season.
While some were never heard from again, the likes of Tony Finau and Wesley Bryan featured on the fan-favorite show.
For whatever reason, it was cancelled in 2015, but with some help from the Good Good crew, Golf Channel has now decided to revive the iconic program.
It will premiere in August 2026 at the Horseshoe Bay Resort and feature 12 competitors – including Good Good’s Brad Dalke and Sean Walsh – battling it out for victory.
Matt Scharff, another member of the Good Good crew, will play host alongside Blair O’Neal, while Garrett Clark and Tom Broders will be non-playing captains.
And the ultimate prize will be entry into the inaugural Good Good Championship next November, which was announced as a new event on the 2026 FedEx Cup Fall series.
“The PGA Tour is proud to return to the great city of Austin for the first time since 2023 for the Good Good Championship, an exciting new event as part of the FedEx Cup Fall,” said Tyler Dennis, the PGA Tour’s chief competitions officer.
“We are pleased to partner with Good Good Golf and Omni Hotels & Resorts on this unique event as the PGA TOUR further connects and engages with our game’s younger fans.”
