Christmas is fast approaching, Black Friday has passed, but the deals are still out there! As the number of sunny golf days dwindles, there’s still plenty to celebrate – the best Black Friday deals are continuing beyond the weekend itself though, with pre-christmas deals still offering big savings on golf clubs for every player.
Whether you’re looking to gain some extra yards with one of the best drivers on the market, a new pair of golf shoes, or perhaps one of the best putters will provide the long overdue TLC your short game has been missing, our pick of the best post-Black Friday golf club deals will give you the inspiration you need to bag yourself a bargain.
Finding deals and knowing if it’s the right one for you isn’t always the same thing! We all love a bargain and the right product and the right price is few and far between so we need to jump on it straight away – but the wrong product is still the wrong product regardless of the deal on offer.
So what should you be looking for? Well, you could always check out the links to our original product reviews for a start, but we know you might not be able to sit down and have a read of every article before you make your decision – especially with deals selling out like they do.
Failing full review reads, these are the best pieces of quick advice we can give you:
- Adjustability is great but is it what you’re after to begin with?
It might seem like you’ve still got a bargain by purchasing that 5-wood because you can turn down the loft to nearly the 3-wood you wanted but think about what that could do once you get to the course. Turning down loft sleeves will also open the clubface on a 2:1 ratio with loft. Meaning for every 1º of loft you lower the head by, you’ll open the face by 2º (the opposite is true with adding loft – you’ll close the face the same).
This might be perfect for you, but just think about why you’re considering this club before clicking that ‘buy’ button.
- Is the club popular with golfers like you?
This might seem hard to quantify but think back to when the club was first released – did anybody you know buy one at the time? Did YOU notice a difference in their golf game? Do they still have the product now?
A lot of these questions are quick to answer in your own head but they can make you think about whether this is a ‘want’ purchase or something that could make a genuine difference in your golf game.
- Does it fill the right gap in your bag?
Okay, this one isn’t a question for everyone, a new driver likely is replacing rather than filling a gap obviously, but for the right people it’s an important one. If you’re looking at a wedge to fill a gap between your Pitching Wedge and your Sand Wedge, you might not be able to get the Gap Wedge to match your iron set. What you can do though, is check out the lofts of your current clubs and see what the gap in-between is.
Titleist and Vokey recommend a 4-6º loft gap between wedges, ideally, so if you’ve currently got a 45º PW and 55º SW, then 50º is a great middle ground! If you’ve got a 43º PW and a 56º SW, maybe you should be considering something other than just that 50º – a 48º and 52º for instance? Half the battle is knowing what you need to begin with so just stay aware of your needs.

Black Friday sales can be a little tricky to navigate with a plethora of retailers all vying for your business as the holiday season approaches. To help keep you focussed we have suggested a few considerations to bear in mind so you come out the other end with some golfing gems.
Budget
Just because items are plastered with sale banners and claims of huge discounts, it’s worth doing your due diligence and making sure the advertised savings appear genuine. It’s also important to set yourself a budget, just as you would when shopping at any other time of the year. Even with healthy savings, golf clubs are expensive pieces of equipment, so make sure you consider the cost, not just the savings.
Timing
This is perhaps one of the trickiest aspects of the Black Friday sales to get right, as when they’re gone -they’re gone! Discounts across the sales period are constantly fluctuating depending on which items are flying off the shelf and which ones are struggling to shift. In the same way as you might approach buying a flight, we suggest monitoring prices for a short period to give you an indication if they are likely to continue to drop or if they will remain constant until the stock is gone.
