True Linkswear might still be a lesser-known name in some golf circles here in the UK, but the brand has quietly built a reputation as one of the best golf shoes for comfort-first design, minimalist styling, and performance that’s rooted in real-world golf.

The OG line in particular has become a flagship for that philosophy, and the OG3 Pro represents the most complete version yet, blending waterproofing, better grip, and all-day wearability into one versatile package.
I tested the OG3 Pros during a few warm-weather rounds here in the UK, mostly dry, with a little dew and light rain one morning. Worn mostly with shorts (my go-to summer look), I also wore them driving to and from the course to assess off-course comfort and versatility.
Comfort: 5/5
This is where the OG3 Pro really shines. Straight out of the box, the fit was exceptional. The foot sits naturally flat in the shoe thanks to True’s zero-drop platform, which helps encourage a stable and grounded connection with the ground. Your toes have room to spread, the heel padding is plush without being spongy, and the insole called WanderLux is genuinely one of the softest I’ve worn in a golf shoe.
There’s a slight squeeze across the midfoot, but rather than feeling tight or restrictive, it gave a sense of being locked in securely. That’s rare, especially in a shoe with such a casual, low-profile look. No blisters, no rubbing, and no “breaking in” needed. I genuinely felt like I could wear them all day and probably into the next.

The redesigned TPU outsole has a bit of flex to it, which surprised me. It’s not overly firm, and that makes it a lot more wearable off-course. You could drive in these, walk around the clubhouse, or even nip into town without ever feeling like you’re clunking around in a traditional golf shoe.
On course, traction was really solid in firm or dry conditions. Lateral stability is good, especially when moving through the swing. The only place performance dips slightly is in wetter, softer turf, which is understandable given the sole design is more geared toward versatility and comfort than deep-ground grip.

True’s waterproof bootie construction is a huge win here. Your foot sits inside a sealed inner layer, which means water doesn’t get through unless it’s pouring in from the top. I played in light rain and morning dew with dry socks every time.
The soft leather upper feels premium and flexible, but you do get a little creasing after a couple of rounds. Personally, I see that as a fair trade-off for comfort. There’s a two-year waterproof warranty to back it up, too, which not many brands are offering anymore.

The OG3 Pro’s low-profile, sneaker-inspired silhouette looks great with shorts and more casual golf outfits. It’s modern, clean, and subtle, with just a whisper of branding on the side. There’s no flash, no overdesign, just good proportions and thoughtful details.
That said, they might not look their best with trousers, especially slim or tailored cut, but it’s a minor quibble. The waterproof heel tab detail, shaped like teardrops, is a nice touch that gives them a bit of personality without being loud.

The OG3 Pro keeps things simple but smart. The revamped TPU outsole impressed me immediately, offering sufficient grip for firm summer turf and a comfortable feel underfoot, even off the course. It’s got a bit of give to it, which makes walking feel natural and smooth, not stiff like some other spikeless soles.
True’s signature zero-drop platform helps your foot feel low, stable, and connected to the ground. I really liked how my toes could spread out naturally, especially in the toe box. The WonderLux insole only adds to the comfort; it’s super soft without feeling spongy, and it held up round after round with no fatigue.
They’ve also added an ‘easy-on’ tongue system, which genuinely does make slipping these on quicker and more convenient. Lastly, the bootie-style waterproof construction and two-year waterproof guarantee give real peace of mind. I stayed bone dry in light rain and damp conditions, and the leather upper still felt flexible and premium.
It’s a smart combination of features that don’t shout but really deliver.

The True Linkswear OG3 Pro might just be my new go-to summer golf shoe. It nails the essentials: comfort, grip, and waterproofing, while also being genuinely wearable off the course. For a brand that’s still under the radar in the UK, this shoe is a standout that blends premium materials, smart design, and all-day wearability better than most big-name offerings.
If you live in shorts, value a natural feel underfoot, and want a shoe that can transition from first tee to 19th hole without missing a beat, the OG3 Pro should be top of your list.
It’s not perfect, the traction could be a little better in soft conditions, and the styling may not work for some, but those are small prices to pay for a shoe this versatile and comfortable.
Would I recommend it? 100%. Would I wear it for 72 holes in a weekend? Without hesitation.
