What we say
Look beyond the big name courses and you’ll find that Tenby Golf Club is one of the best in Wales.
We have a real soft slot for Tenby Golf Club, a terrific natural links in beautiful Pembrokeshire.
Perhaps it is because we have only ever played it on a lovely sunny day when the ball skipped along rock-hard, light brown fairways that were running 9.5 on the stimpmeter.

But we reckon it is just as impressive on a wet and windy day when it is more of a battle and slightly less of a joy.
It could be described as holiday links golf but that only reflects the friendly nature of the welcome and the lack of pretension about the club and the course.
It should certainly not be confused with a pitch and putt, even if it is a links that gives you a lot visually – more so than arguably any course in Wales.

This solid links has some wonderful holes, such as the 3rd which is played to a plateau green and the next which is played to a punchbowl green.
One of Wales’ top five and in our GB&I Links at the expense of many ‘bigger’ names.

Wyder Cup held at Tenby Oct 2011
We played our annual tournament, The Wyder Cup here, very similar format to Ryder Cup, two teams of 14 playing foursomes Friday, Fourballs Saturday and singles on the Sunday. Over the three days we found the course to be in excellent condition including the greens for mid October. It is a true test of golf, the secretary and the rest of the club staff were very welcoming and friendly. See our Website and look up 2011 reports www.wydercup.co.uk Can't wait to return, can recommend this course for those who want to get away from winter tees and temporary greens in winter and all those leaves and worm casts etc in autumn.

Test of skill
this course is a test for all golfers with loads of blind fairways to hit and a few hidden greens this will test the best. the greens are like lightening and the tee's are perfect.high handicapers take plenty of balls!!
